TenCate Protective Fabrics extends an invitation to customers and end users alike to attend an informative and interesting FR Seminar. Visitors will be given a one- day tour of all our completely vertical manufacturing facilities. Guests will see the entire process form fiber to finished fabric.

YARN MANUFACTURING
The tour begins with seeing how FR fibers are taken through the various processes of yarn formation. Blending, carding, drawing, spinning and twisting are all covered in detail.2
NONWOVEN MANUFACTURING
At this location, guests will see how FR fibers are needle-punched together to form non- woven fabrics that are used in firefighters’ thermal liners, wind barrier jacket fabrics and aerospace materials.3
WEAVE MANUFACTURING
As the tour proceeds, visitors will watch as the yarn that they’ve seen being produced earlier is taken through warping and weaving processes. A variety of machinery and technical tools will be explained as the guests follow along with each step that TenCate takes to produce the world’s finest FR fabrics.4
DYEING AND FINISHING
Finally, visitors are shown the last stop in the production of FR fabrics. At this location, guests will see how shades are developed for FR fabrics and the involved chemistry that TenCate has developed over 90 years of technical textile manufacturing.
